Our Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools
Client personally identifiable information is never submitted to AI tools, and we do not permit AI providers to use client data to train or improve their models.
Legs Financial uses artificial intelligence tools to support internal operational and research tasks — such as drafting internal documents, conducting research, analyzing publicly available data, improving our written communications, and assisting with meeting transcription and note-taking. These tools are used to make our work more efficient and thorough on your behalf.
We maintain strict internal protocols governing the use of AI tools:
- Client names, account numbers, Social Security numbers, financial details, health information, and any other personally identifiable information are never entered into AI systems.
- We do not use AI tools that are configured to retain, store, or learn from submitted content.
- Where AI tools are used to assist with meeting transcriptions or note-taking, all personally identifiable information is removed or anonymized before any content is processed. Raw transcripts containing client information are stored securely and are never submitted to AI platforms.
- All AI-assisted work product — including meeting summaries and notes — is reviewed and verified by a qualified professional before being used in client-facing communications or incorporated into your plan.
- AI tools are not used to make financial planning decisions on your behalf. All recommendations are made by a credentialed human advisor.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your NPI only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: Custodians, record keepers, compliance technology vendors, cloud storage providers, and other firms engaged to support our delivery of services to you, subject to confidentiality agreements.
- Your authorized representatives: CPAs, attorneys, trustees, guardians, or other professionals you have authorized us to coordinate with.
- Legal and regulatory requirements: When required by law, court order, or regulatory examination.
- Business transfers: In connection with a proposed or actual sale, merger, or transfer of all or a portion of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
- With your consent: For any other purpose with your prior written authorization.
If we materially change this policy in a way that affects how we disclose your information, we will provide notice as required by applicable law before the change takes effect.

We retain client records for the period required by applicable law and regulation, including recordkeeping rules applicable to registered investment advisers under federal and state law. Records for former clients are treated with the same confidentiality standards as active clients.
